You can join lobbies in Japan but only during night also based on my experience. Well at least 3-10 servers depending on day/time of day have upwards of 20 players so it isn't dead and besides this game is still damn fun even against a bunch of bots. I know that Tantive IV never gets old for me.

The Australian server on PC only gets some modes working, usually on late afternoons to early evenings on weekdays, and on weekends.
