Here's a nodule of horse Creek Chert that I slabbed. Liked the way it came out so much I decided to keep it like it is for the ol' type collection. I can tell you that this chert came from Texas but I don't know what county. This was a small spall. It's tough as nails. I have knapped a lot of Texas material but never any as tough as this.

I believe this is Ft Payne chert. Found in WV. I was reading that there are deposits of this all along the Southern part of the Ohio river. Absolutely beautiful stuff.
