You have FTTN which is Fiber to a local box in your neighborhood (VRAD). From there it is all copper with a max speed of 100 Mbps if close to the VRAD (serving terminal). I live partly in the country (right outside the city lines) and I really didn't even consider IF fiber was available! I just ASSumed we didn't since we were in the country.
