Get an oil tank vent tube from a 06-12. The 88 tube won't clear the 6 speed trans cover.It will not be an easy swap. It can be made to fit. The 2001 has a Magnetti Marelli EFI and you will need the wiring harness and more if yours doesn't have the MM EFI. OEM gearing on a 5-speed is the same as a 6-speed up to and including 5th gear, which is 1:1 ratio. 6th gear is .86:1.
