In pvp. Summoner is the most brain dead dps dealer. This is a no brainer. Top1 choice. You will have a last reach platinum. I also heard blaster is easy to play as well since it only has one combo. Sorceress is there to nuke things from afar. Gunlancer is very tanky and a great balance in consideration of the warrior class. Scrapper is a well balanced class.

Zerker. I'm main Gunslinger and have as alts a DB, Zerk, Shadowhunter, Sorc and waiting for the Lancemaster. I'm probably biased but shadow hunter is some of the most fun I've had in a long time. I went from Berserker to Soulfist. I may MVP way more on Berserker but Soulfist is so damn fun and satisfying, gives off such a strong Dragonball vibe. Spirit bomb, martial arts, kamehameha, power ups similar to Super Saiyan.

Picking an assassin to play is essentially picking 1/6 not 1/3. I would recommend playing what you enjoy over what sounds like the most DPS since at the end of the day, whoever has the best gear will do the most damage.

IMO after trying half the classes in the game, Surge Blade is by far the most fun spec in Lost Ark. Obviously Surging for huge damage is fun, plus the class is pretty mobile and the animations and sounds are, subjectively, pretty nice.

The class can stay at mid range and just dish out damage even if the guardian gets in your face you can just shield or use a ability with protection ruin or one of the build in shields in the damaging abilities. Just over all a really fun class, it’s like a male sorceress but doesn’t hit as hard and can actually take a few hits.

My 2 cents. You can say most classes are brain dead unless you’re speaking about burst damage classes or “build meter and spend” which normally don’t allow low cooldowns. Otherwise OP. Tai Scrapper has had a lot of popularity lately as it has good DPS, low cooldowns, high mobility, and solid counter.The reasons to play it are the highish apm, high mobility, high stagger, high destruction, two built in class dashes, and general tankiness. It also has one of the best "flows" out of all the classes I have played. Kind of hard to describe, but when I started playing it I instantly fell in love with how it felt. Peace maker gunslinger is the most fun for me since it gives a lot of options for different situations, and learning skill rotations for each situation is hard to master but fun to play. After you finish tutorial once, all the classes you create next, you can skip tutorial and start at level 10 straight.
