It's also top notch mechanically as of this patch that gave it a shit ton more stuff - more than doubling the number of gaze options, and letting you pick a gaze at every rank instead of every 2 ranks. You're still limited to 1/2/3 active at a time at ranks 3/6/10 though. Another neat one to consider is Swarm that Walks. Jan 1, 2022 · I'd recommend against arcane trickster, simply because thats the main class of one of the easier to get companions. As for damage, I don't think you'd lose too much if you went Sylvan sorcerer. Rather, what you'd probably miss out on is a few defenses (mainly resists) and a slightly wider spell selection.
