I find that setup interferes w a good sight picture. So, you may want to change the sights as well. The slides interchange and shoot on all of them. I have a springer precision trigger in the 4.5 frame and since it was fitted to my 4.5 slide, it is not as good of a trigger with a different slide. I was watching a youtube video about the XDM 4.5 and an XDM 3.8 compact in the same caliber. The user said you could run either slide/barrel combo on either frame. Is this true? If so, you could really have 4 different guns between the two: A full size frame 4.5" A full size frame 3.8" A compact 4.5" A compact 3.8" I find this very interesting.

This what I used on my first XDm 5.25 front sight. I also made a fat shim of Trex decking to keep the slide from rotating in the pusher frame, and I put brass shim stock between the pusher and the frame to take up the heinous amount of slop. I used a ratchet on the first one. It appears to 5.25 is essentially the SA version of a Glock 34. I know the Glock 34 frame is exactly the same as Glock 17, therefore slides and frames are swappable.
