Meg-Mo · #7 · May 4, 2004. You are so right, this is nothing new in the farming industry. The farmers 35 years ago got the disc mower and revolutionized mowing in the farming industry. We in the mowing industry have been using the same blade for the last 70 years.Several things concern me about Meg-Mo blades if I was a pro cutter or put a mower out anywhere besides the "back 40". Harder blades (north of HRc 45) have been exhaustively tested by OEM's and are very difficult to get past the stake test. The swing blade design probably helps blade fracture during impact but I would still be mindful.

318 meg-mo review. Bought a set of Meg-Mo blades over the winter for my 318 with 50" deck and I thought I would share my experiences. I did this with a 4 1/2" side grinder with the spindles still on the mower. and it took a couple of hours of work, with a rest period thrown in here.
